So for oil, the first instruction is to make sure you brush your waves are nice and moisturized. You want the moisturizer to be set in your hair and then layer it with the oil to keep it there. You should always moisturize your hair before applying the oil, that will be the same way you use any other product I have reviewed here. Then you want will have to make sure your hair is brushed against the grain and raise it. That way you can apply the oil by massaging it into your scalps.
I know some of you either put it directly into your scalps or use a brush to get it in there, but that either uses too much oil or ruins your brush. Instead, I take it by hand and rub the oil all over my hand. Take enough so you have just enough so you create a little puddle in the middle of your palm, rub it all over your hand, and then massage it into your scalp. After that take your medium or hard brush and style your waves. Then take a little plastic Ziploc bag, place your hand in it, and rub your hair to get any excess oil off your hair. Last but not least, wrap your hair in a silk durag and you are done!

As this is a spray, I have used it both directly on the hair and spraying it on my hand. But I have found using it on my hand better. Just spray twice on your hand and then rub it all over. Massage it well, medium brush to style your waves, and then use the Ziploc bag trick I talked about before to get rid of any excess. And then use a silk durag to cover your hair so the oil doesn’t evaporate.

You have probably heard of how good coconut oil is for your hair, and it’s no exception for your 360 waves. It gives a great shine and helps trap the moisturizer you use before. The cool thing about this, after a few applications my hair was silky, and detangling my waves became much easier! It does not feel greasy at all and is great for the scalp. Don’t be surprised by the statement that this product is for the skin and face because this is multipurpose and is one of the best almond oil. Because it has no other oils and other additives, it is great! My hair is dry, so applying this made my hair feel soft and very moisturized. My scalps appreciated it too. However, a big disclaimer, almond oil is best used for thinner hair. So if you have type 3 or type 4 hair, you would need to use more of the product to really get that shine on your hair.

As always, don’t spray it directly on your waves. This would leave it on top of the hair and not the scalp which wants the oil. Comb out your hair and then massage it gently into your scalp. Brush to style your waves and then get your silk durag to wrap it up for a few hours while your scalp receives the coconut goodness.

Coconut oil is great for split ends. Add the weightless formula to the mix and you have an oil from OGX that gets rid of any frizz that would otherwise ruin a clean 360 wave! Not only that, but it also provides great hydration for your hair and especially for your scalp too. For some, the smell might seem too overpowering so use it very carefully if you are sensitive to smell. Here is the thing, this product will become solid if you leave it in the cold. So there are two ways to use this. One, turn 2 tablespoons back into a liquid and the usual apply it to the scalp, style with your brush, a plastic bag to get rid of the excess oil, and silk durag to wrap it. Only this time, you have to leave it overnight to really get that deep conditioning treatment.
But, you could also use it as a smoothie! Take the solid coconut oil and mix it with a big scoop of shea butter. You could also add additives. For example, I added a tablespoon of lemon juice to the smoothie to give deeper conditioning. Next, you will have to blend the mixture until it becomes a smooth creamy texture. Don’t be fooled by the nutritional facts on the jar, this can definitely be used for your hair, especially when you want to do deep conditioning treatment! It enriches your hair so much that you only need to do deep conditioning maybe once a month at most. Trust me, you will love how your hair feels and looks after having done deep conditioning. Your hair will fresh and healthier, not to mention it will give a long-lasting shine. Mine lasted a week! But, the solid coconut oil might not be for everyone so you would have to melt it before use. And the fact that it has to be covered for at least 8 hours means you need to make some time to use it. That is why it is best to leave it overnight.

You should use oils about 3 times a month at most. This is too greasy to use on a daily basis. But otherwise, I have immediately noticed a significant lack of hair on my combs after using this oil. Maybe I would have to use the product for a longer period to get the hair growth part but my scalp felt a lot better and cleaner after using this.
